Aug 17, 2011 (newstodate): Slovenia's second-largest airport, Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport is now up for sale.
The current owner since 2002 under a concession expiring in 2012, Prevent Global has gone bankrupt and the trustee is now to sell off the asset before the end of 2011.
Equipped with two runway, one at 1,200 and another newly renovated at 2,500m, Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport completed the construction of a new passenger terminal in spring, 2011.
Last year a tender was opened for a 30-year concession to manage and operate the airport, but no bids landed on the table.
