Aug 12, 2011 (newstodate): The Finnish company Copterline confirms that it is to announce details next week on the reopening of the helicopter line between Helsinki, Finland, and Tallinn, Estonia.
-We are to launch service with several daily rotations between the two cities, using AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters with capacity to carry up to 15 passengers, says Kari Ljungberg, Line-Support.
According to Mr Ljungberg, the venture is not connected to Estonian Air that earlier said plans were being considered for opening a similar helicopter route.
Other sources indicate that Estonian Air may have bought shares in Line-Support, working with this company to realize the plan.
Copterline earlier operated a helicopter service on the route, but retreated after a fatal accident in August 2005.
