Aug 12, 2011 (newstodate): A Lithuanian aviation expert is foreseeing steep growth in the world's private jet market.
-It is expected that by 2030, the fleets of private jets will have doubled in size reaching up to 30,900 units. In the meantime, one of the major growths in the private jet market is foreseen in Russia and the CIS where the numbers by then are anticipated to rocket almost four times - up to a no less than 1,765 aircraft, says Darius Saluga, FL Technics Jets.
-In markets where traffic intensity is relatively low but traveling distances considerably long, the capacity and assortment offered by private jets commonly outweighs the common benefits of commercial aircraft.
-In terms of market size, Europe, including Russia and the CIS, comes in third after North America and China and is forecasted to witness a further 17 percent growth.
-Today, a much more favorable situation can be observed in Russia and the CIS where the air space is more liberalized which makes the complicated air traffic procedures significantly easier and the airport infrastructure more manageable, says Mr Saluga.
Lithuania's FL Technics Jets is a company in the Avia Solutions Group, based at Vilnius Airport.
