Aug 31, 2011 (newstodate): Politicians from Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Norway have now prompted the formation of a joint Nordic/Baltic aviation cooperation.
At their meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland, the transport ministers from the countries involved have signed a protocol on the formation of the North European Functional Airspace Block, NEFAB.
The parties have committed themselves to assign all resources required to launch the NEFAB not earlier than the second half of 2012 in accordance with EU's efforts towards a common European airspace.
