Aug 30, 2011 (newstodate): Lithuania's Palanga Airport has completed the reconstruction of its passenger terminal to boost service levels and cope with traffic growth.
With the new terminal, funded by the EU Cohesion fund and state grants, the airport offers Schengen/non-Schengen separation of passenger streams.
Palanga Airport is seeing brisk growth in 2011, including the opening of three daily flights from October 31, 2011, between Oslo and Palanga, since 2010 Norwegian has been online with twice-weekly all-year services between Oslo and Palanga, and from June 26, 2011, the Russian carrier RusLine started flights between Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Palanga, adding to the offerings of direct connections.
