Aug 30, 2011 (newstodate): Launching flights from October 30, 2011, Flybe Nordic starts our with 24 routes, including existing Finncomm and new routes.
The company, owned by Flybe and Finnair, will be operated by Flybe Europe, with Mike Rutter as its Managing Director.
In the fleet of Flybe Nordic will be the Finncomm aircraft comprising four ATR 42-500 and nine ATR 72-500 aircraft.
Three more ATR 72-500 aircraft have been ordered, and they will support the expansion of Flybe Nordic's business.
In Finncomm's fleet are also two Embraer 170 aircraft that are, however, contracted to Finnair, who exclusively manages the marketing, sales and pricing of the seats to its own passengers.
