Aug 24, 2011 (newstodate): Finnair Engine Services has landed a four-year contract with the Russian carrier Rossiya for engine maintenance.
Under the contract Finnair Engine Services, a division of Finnair Technical Services, will provide the St Petersburg-based carrier with maintenance, repair and overhaul of the CFM56-5B engines used on Rossiya's fleet of 19 Airbus A319 and six Airbus A320 aircraft.
The two parties have been working together since 2007, but the latest contract brings the cooperation to new levels.
Finnair Technical Services considers the new contract a promising start to more cooperation with Russia's carriers that operate large fleets of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
