Aug 01, 2011 (newstodate): Still amidst the busy summer schedules, the Danish charter carrier and ACMI provider Jet Time is preparing to face demands in the next winter period.
-We are currently operating eight own Boeing 737 aircraft plus one extra aircraft to manage the very busy summer season, but the leased Boeing 737-300 will be delivered back in October, says Bjarke Norgaard Juul-Hansen new Manager, Special Charters ACMI & Cargo.
-We will then look over the market and our fleet composition, and I will not preclude that Jet Time may add more aircraft capacity before the end of this year, already.
-We are definitely to look for Boeing 737 New Generation aircraft as time is running out for the less efficient Boeing 737-300 of which six are currently in our fleet.
-A new Boeing aircraft may also well be a second QC aircraft as Jet Time sees the cargo market as attractive business off the main passenger traffic peak seasons, says Mr Juul-Hansen.
Jet Time took delivery of its first Boeing 737-700 aircraft on February 28, 2011, adding a second Boeing 737-700 aircraft in April, both on a five-year lease contract.
