Aug 01, 2011 (newstodate): The Croatian government is now calling for bidders to deliver their final bids in the on-going tender for privatization of the country's Zagreb Airport.
Potential bidders that have been shortlisted earlier in the process must hand in their final bids by October 31, 2011, after which the the state will then name the successful winner of rights to manage the airport and undertake a series of investments in modern infrastructure and technologies within the frame of a Master Plan aiming at securing Zagreb Airport a position as a regional hub for air traffic.
The tender process is running late as earlier plans called for closing the process with a successful bidder in September 2011 already.
