Aug 18, 2011 (newstodate): Maybe a sign of recovery, Air China is returning one of its two suspended freighter operations at Copenhagen Airport.
Effective from September 1, 2011, Air China Cargo will reinstate its third weekly rotation between Copenhagen Airport and Beijing after a summer period with only two weekly flights.
At its peak, Air China Cargo was operating four weekly Boeing 747-400F flights on the route, but so far there are no indications if a fourth frequency will return, too.
Air China Cargo started its operation to Copenhagen on September 6, 2006, with Kales Airline Services as its cargo GSSA in the Scandinavian markets.
By the end of H1, 2011, Air China Cargo was No. 9 on the list of IATA carriers as to cargo volumes in Denmark and Sweden.
