Aug 02, 2011 (newstodate): Slovakia's Bratislava M R Stefanik Airport grew its cargo volumes by 16 percent y-o-y during the first half of 2011.
A total of 9,927 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, against 8,588 during H1 in 2010.
June, however, did not contribute much to the growth, with volumes up only two percent, y-o-y, to 1,791 tonnes.
Latest news from Bratislava Airport was the introduction from June 22, 2011, by Czech carrier CSA of flights to six European destinations Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Larnaca, Brussels and Barcelona.
