Jul 01, 2011 (newstodate): The Danish carrier Danish Air Transport, DAT, is now an offical IOSA candidate.
-We are since long certified by EASA, JAR and other aviation institutions, but the final completion of the IATA Operational Safety Audit, IOSA, will add further momentum to our standing, says Torben Ravnkilde, DAT VP Sales.
-Even as an official IOSA candidate pending the final certification, we see the benefits from the scheme as it certainly opens doors and facilitates fast handling of our applications world-wide.
-This has proved useful in several cases when launching operations in new markets for ad-hoc or contract work, and it is also important in for instance obtaining insurance coverage for these operations, says Mr Ravnkilde.
