Jul 27, 2011 (newstodate): The Danish company Satair, a world leading supplier of aircraft parts and service solutions for aircraft maintenance, is about to change ownership.
Airbus has signed an agreement with the Board of Directors of Satair A/S for the launch of a voluntary conditional tender offer, and this offer has been endorsed by the Board for approval by the shareholders.
Airbus will make the offer through a wholly owned special purpose entity, Airbus Denmark Holding ApS.
Completion of the offer will enable Airbus to capitalize on its own commercial network together with Satair's offering and distribution capabilities in order to position itself as a leading global service and support provider for airlines and maintenance, repair and overhaul providers.
Founded in 1957 by a group of ex-SAS technical staff, Satair now has approximately 360 employees worldwide, with HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark, and sales and warehousing locations in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and China.
