Jun 10 (newstodate): Russia's Lipetsk Airport is due to be renovated and expanded.
The airport serving the Lipetsk Region has one 2,300m runway that will now be reinforced and extended by 500m.
The number of aircraft parking stands will be increased from currently 14 to 48, distributed on six apron areas, one of which will b e dedicated to freighter aircraft.
The airport's runway lighting system will also be replaced with new state-of-the-art technology allowing for all-weather operations of all types of aircraft.
