Jun 21, 2011 (newstodate): The Norwegian low-cost operator Norwegian has added more aircraft to its order list with boeing.
At the on-going Paris Air Show, Norwegian has signed an MoU for delivery of 15 Boeing 737-800 aircraft on top of its earlier orders for 63 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The latest aircraft ordered will be delivered from 2015 till 2018, with the aircraft earlier ordered coming in from now till 2016.
Currently operating a fleet of 58 Boeing 737 aircraft, Norwegian placed orders for 42 Boeing 737 aircraft in 2007, later increasing to 63 aircraft from 2009 till 2016.
19 of these aircraft have so far been delivered starting in 2009.
On November 8, 2010, Norwegian placed orders for two 787-8 aircraft, in May 2011 adding three more by taking over three options for Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft originally held by Icelandair.
