Jun 22, 2011 (newstodate): The EU, the US, Iceland and Norway have signed an aviation agreement to extends the scope of the EU-US Open Skies Agreement to Iceland and Norway.
The existing EU-USA agreement allows all EU airlines to fly without restriction between any airport in the EU and any airport in the US, and these rights are now to be extended to include also Iceland and Norway although these two countries are not members of the EU.
Both countries are fully integrated in the single European aviation market and apply all EU aviation legislation
