Jun 21, 2011 (newstodate): Serbia and Croatia will have to do without any direct US flights during this summer.
A weekly seasonal flight was planned by the tour operator Air Plus, using a Boeing 767 aircraft from the US carrier Swift Air on routes from Chicago to Belgrade and Zagreb starting from June 18, 2011.
But - first the launch date was delayed reportedly due to low booking figures, but now the whole operation has been canceled.
The US FAA has expressed concerns over the carrier's crew training and manuals, causing Swift Air to voluntarily suspended its Part 121 operations pending an inquiry by the FAA.
