Jun 01, 2011 (newstodate): From today, Copenhagen Flight Services has launched business as the airport's third handling company with easyJet as its first customer.
Owned by the Swedish Nordic Aero Group that is one of the parties behind Aviator Airport Alliance that has now acquired Novia at Copenhagen Airport, Copenhagen Flight Services will remain an independent player in the market with full freedom to compete against the two other handling agents at the airport, Novia and the SAS Group's SGS that currently handle around one-third and two-thirds of the traffic, respectively.
From the start, the focus will be on servicing easyJet and getting the organization and procedures straight, but after that Copenhagen Flight Services will fight for more customers, not restrained to the LCC traffic at the airport.
