Jun 15, 2011 (newstodate): Lithuania's FL Technics, a major E European provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul, is to expand its scope of business significantly.
The company's Board has decided to invest USD 25 million in the expansion of the maintenance capacity, list of capabilities, product range, and improvement of service quality.
The program, which includes construction of additional new hangars in Vilnius, expansion of capability list of base and line maintenance, Part M products, expansion of network of line stations, acquisition of needed equipment and training programs for company employees, will be implemented in the 2010-2015 period.
Already this year, FL Technics has added Boeing 737 NG to its EASA Part 145, Part 147 and Part M activities and started preparations to add Airbus A320 and ATR 42/72 aircraft types.
During 2011-2015, the list of aircraft types serviced will be extended with CRJ 200, CRJ 900, Embraer 145, Embraer 175 and business jets Hawker 850 aircraft types.
The company also plans for further expansion of its international line stations network, already operating nine line stations in remote locations from Italy to Turkey, with plans to expand this network to a total of 30 locations by 2013.
