Jun 15, 2011 (newstodate): Air India and Slovenia's Adria Airways have inked an MoU to boost greater cooperation between the two carriers.
Partners on the Slovenian side also include the country's largest international airport, Ljubljana Airport.
Under the MoU the two carriers will offer transfer access to destinations in Eastern Europe and India beyond Ljubljana and Delhi.
The next step in the efforts will be the signing of a code-share agreement to further ease the onward travels on either airlines through just one booking.
Air India is now expected to announce new operations between India and the USA via the new transfer hub at Ljubljana Airport.
