Jun 10, 2011 (newstodate): Georgia and China have now seen the launch of the first-ever direct scheduled non-stop air services between the two countries.
In the air from June 9, 2011, is China Southern Airlines with three weekly rotations on the route between Tbilisi and Urumqi, in the Xinjiang province.
The route will be served with Boeing 737 aircraft, and airfreight will play an important role in sustaining the new flights.
