May 06, 2011 (newstodate): The Ukrainean carrier Aerosvit is now retrofitting its Boeing 767 aircraft with winglets.
The process will roll in conjunction with the heavy maintenance program performed by Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services.
Two aircraft are currently undergoing heavy maintenance and will return with winglets to save fuel which will also allow for better range and payload characteristics.
Aerosvit now has a total of nine Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in its fleet.
