May 23, 2011 (newstodate): Effective from the start of the coming winter schedule, the Ukrainean carrier Aerosvit is launching a new intercontinental route to Asia.
The carrier will be offering three weekly rotations on the route between Kiev and Hong Kong, using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on the route.
Aerosvit is thus to be come the first carrier in Eastern Europe, excluding Russia, to connect with direct nonstop services to Hong Kong.
Aerosvit already operates flights to Asian destinations Beijing, Bangkok, Delhi and Karachi.
