May 10, 2011 (newstodate): Sweden's new ACMI and charter operations provider under formation, Swedish Moose may remain just another project that stuck ground before take-off.
Already in November 2010, the carrier was recruiting cockpit and cabin crews for its Airbus A320 aircraft fleet to be based at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, and earlier expectations were that a first flight would take to the air before or around Christmas 2010.
However, repeated inquiries to the Swedish Transport Agency confirm that the process for issuing an AOC to Swedish Moose has been stalled after reaching some 70 percent completion, with no further progress in 2011.
According to the Agency, the initiative rests with Swedish Moose but here Daniel Lundberg, Swedish Moose managing director, is refusing to offer any comments on the situation.
