May 30, 2011 (newstodate): The Slovenian carrier Adria Airways is deep into financial problems, but a new owner may be emerging.
According to industry sources, the helping hand might come from Air India, with negotiations already going on between the governments of the two countries.
If a deal will eventually be struck, it could happen during the coming visit by the Slovenian PM to India in two weeks.
Several other airlines have been in talks over an acquisition of Adria Airways, but all pulled out, leaving the carrier in the void and amidst growing debts.
