May 06, 2011 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Transaero has taken delivery of its 60th aircraft - a Boeing 747-400.
Transaero, based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, was the first carrier in Russia and the CIS to introduce the Boeing 747 aircraft in 2005 and now has a total of 15 of these aircraft in various versions including 11 Boeing 747-400.
At the same time, Transaero is now converting three of its Boeing 747-200 aircraft to freighters.
The fleet now comprises 15 Boeing 747, 8 Boeing 777, 12 Boeing 767, 22 Boeing 737 and 3 Tu-214 aircraft.
