May 09, 2011 (newstodate): Russia's Polet Airlines is seeing brisk growth in Q1, 2011, both in passenger and cargo figures.
The carrier transported about 50,000 passenger in the period, almost 100 percent up on last year's Q1.
Cargo volumes also increased by 50 percent to 15,000 tonnes which was an unprecedented high for the carrier.
In the fleet of Polet are now five SAAB 340 and five SAAB 2000 aircraft, while the freighter fleet comprises four An-124 Ruslan and three Il-96-400T freighters.
The carrier will take delivery of a fourth IL-96-400T freighter by September 2011.
