May 25, 2011 (newstodate): While maintaining its focus on establishing handling companies at all major airports around the Baltic Sea, the Latvian handling provider North Hub Services may be heading in an easterly direction, too.
At the recent North Hub Riga conference words were passed that North Hub Services is in the process of closing a contract with "some airports" in Russia or the CIS region.
While the news has not been officially confirmed, nor detailed, by North Hub Services, the information has been supported by another high-ranking Latvian source.
What is official, however, is that North Hub Services will launch ground handling services at Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda and Gothenburg Landvetter by July 1, 2011, serving airBaltic and Skyways from the start.
