May 30, 2011 (newstodate): AME, Air Maintenance Estonia, has secured its long-standing cooperation with its customer EasyJet.
easyJet originally operated an all-Boeing fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, but is now in the final stages of phasing out the least remaining Boeing aircraft, opting instead for an all-Airbus fleet.
AME has served easyJet with maintenance on the Boeing fleet, but is now to follow its customer into maintenance of the Airbus A319 and A320 fleet as well.
easyJet has just taken delivery of its Airbus aircraft No 200 and will end up with a fleet comprising 227 Airbus aircraft when all options have been exercised.
