May 13, 2011 (newstodate): The Czech carrier CSA has formulated a strategy of growth in neighboring country Slovakia.
Starting from June 2011, CSA will launch a number of flights from Bratislava Airport to destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Paris, Rome and Cyprus.
In the start-up phase, the route from Bratislava to Paris will be operated daily, Rome will be operated five times weekly and the other destinations will be served at least twice a week.
CSA is thus to capitalize on the situation that has seen Bratislava Airport losing much traffic while several Slovak airlines have gone bankrupt over the last few years.
