May 10, 2011 (newstodate): The privately-owned carrier Central Charter Airlines, based at Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport, is launching flights on a new route between the Czech Republic and Switzerland as is fourth scheduled operation.
Effective from June 2, 2011, the carrier will offer four weekly rotations on a new route between Prague and Geneva, using Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
Beginning March 23, 2011, Czech Connect Airlines launched flights on its third route between the Czech republic and Russia, after starting flights from Brno to Moscow Domodedovo Airport on March 4, 2011, and to St Petersburg from March 21, 2011.
Earlier named Czech Connect Airlines, Central Connect Airlines is part of the Central Connect Group that includes Job Air providing SAAB 340 aircraft maintenance and cargo conversions, Let´s Fly, a Slovak aviation school, and central Connect Airline as the commercial airline operator.
The airline will soon add a second Boeing 737-300 aircraft to its fleet.
