May 17, 2011 (newstodate): After one year of suspension, traffic will return in the form of direct flights between Slovakia and Russia.
Effective from June 1, 2011, the Russian carrier UTAir will open flights between Bratislava and Moscow, offering four weekly rotations on the route with Bombardier CRJ 200LR aircraft.
The route was left un-served for a year after Aeroflot pulled out from May 2010.
On the negative side at Bratislava Airport, the Polish carrier LOT has announced its retreat from the route between Warsaw and Bratislava from today, May 17, 2011, citing low demand in the market.
