May 27, 2011 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has named a new cargo GSA in the Finnish market.
Taking over from February 2011, North Air Logistics is now marketing and selling cargo capacity on airBaltic's flights between Riga, Helsinki and other Finnish destinations.
-It is actually the third change of Finnish cargo GSA in three years. We have a high frequency on flights at Helsinki. However, most are performed with turboprop aircraft, and there are other strong players in the market, says Toms Andersons, airBaltic Head of Cargo.
-Maybe there is still some potential for us above the few tonnes a month we are getting so far. Let us see how the new GSA performs, says Mr Andersons.
In the schedule are morning flights with Boeing 737 aircraft, but according to industry sources 95 percent of the flights are actually performed with Fokker 50 aircraft
