May 19, 2011 (newstodate): Aeroflot and the manufacturer Sukhoi have come to terms over the delays to Superjet 100 deliveries.
-After negotiations, Aeroflot have converted 10 of their options for Superjet 100 aircraft into firm orders, so Aeroflot is now to take delivery of 40 Superjet aircraft, says Sasha Mian, Superjet International SpA Director European Sales.
-The second production aircraft will now go to Aeroflot by next week, and commercial operations will then commence from June 16, 2011, on the route between Moscow and St Petersburg.
-The 3rd production aircraft will go to Armavia, and most of the remaining 11 production aircraft will go to Aeroflot, our single largest customers, says Mr Mian.
After the latest agreement between Aeroflot and Sukhoi, Aeroflot will take delivery of a total of 40 Superjet 100, with options remaining for a further 20 units.
