Apr 18, 2011 (newstodate): Transatlantic flights will return to the Balkan region also this summer.
The US carrier Swift Air will introduce flights from Chicago, USA, to Serbia's Belgrade and Croatia's Zagreb from mid-June, 2011, using 767-200ER aircraft.
The carrier has obtained all required permits from Serbia and now awaits the final clearance from Croatia's CAA as well before settling the details and the time-table.
Swift Air, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is also reportedly planning flights from Chicago to Krakow, in Poland, from this summer.
