Apr 19, 2011 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines is digging deeply into the Russian market, increasing frequency on routes this summer.
From Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Turkish Airlines now operates four daily flights to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, in addition to a daily flight between Antalya and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Turkish Airlines operates four weekly flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Moscow Domodedovo Airport, as well as three weekly flights to Moscow Domodedovo Airport from Ankara, using AnadoluJet's Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Other destinations in Russia served by Turkish Airlines are St Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Ufa, Kazan and Ekaterinburg, while plans are on the table for opening flights also to Samara.
