Apr 29, 2011 (newstodate): Tajikistan's privately-owned carrier Somon Air is opening scheduled flights to Saudi Arabia.
From May 8, 2011, the carrier will extend its existing Dushanbe-Dubai route to continue to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, offering one flight every two weeks using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Somon Air has earlier served Jeddah, but only in connection with Hajj operations.
