Apr 29, 2011 (newstodate): Sweden's pilot training institute, RJ Flight Academy, at Stockholm, is currently out of business.
The Swedish agency Transportsstyrelsen has temporarily recalled the training institute's license on April 14, 2011, citing its "lack of confidence" in the institute's CEO, Johan Ruud.
The Swedish authority has therefore given RJ Flight Academy a limited grace period to find and name a successor to Juhan Ruud, on the condition that a successor can be licensed according to JAR requirements.
The decision to suspend all training activities by RJ Flight Academy took immediate effect, and cannot re revoked before an accepted new head of training has been installed.
Johan Ruud was confirmed as head of training on October 21, 2008, but Transportstyrelsen has found that he has since repeatedly withheld vital information essential for the agency to verify his ability to fulfill and perform his duties.
