Apr 13, 2011 (newstodate): Latvia's Riga Airport is looking forward to another busy summer season in 2011.
The airport expects to see the volume of operations increasing by 16 percent, y-o-y, and a total of six new destinations from Riga will be opened: airBaltic will fly to Budapest and Gdansk four times a week and once a week to Bari and Tenerife, Turkish Airlines will operate twice-weekly to Antalya, and Ryanair will introduce four weekly flights to Rome Ciampino Airport.
Riga Airport will also see two new airline operators: Skyways with 13 weekly flights to and from Gothenburg, and El Al's Sun d'Or International Airlines starting flights to Riga from Tel Aviv during the summer.
