Apr 05, 2011 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is poised to become the latest addition to the route network of Ukraine International Airlines.
Effective from April 26, 2011, the carrier plans to launch flights on its latest new route from Kiev to Astana, Kazakhstan, offering three weekly flights on the route served with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Flight connections between the two countries already include services by Ukrainean low-cost carrier Wind Rose Aviation from March 31, 2009, with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and since December 12, 2009, the Ukrainean carrier Donbassaero has operated flights between Kiev and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Another Ukrainean carrier Aerosvit also operates flights since 2009 between Kiev and Astana, as well as to Almaty in Kazakhstan.
