Apr 12, 2011 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo continued its growth in volumes through this year's Q1 by 19.9 percent, y-o-y.
A total of 469,000 tonnes of cargo and mail was lifted on the aircraft of Lufthansa Cargo, AeroLogic and the passenger aircraft belly holds of Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines.
So even if Lufthansa Cargo boosted its total capacity through Q1 by 22.8 percent, y-o-y, the over-all cargo load factor ended at 69.9 percent, with the Americas topping the list with 74.3 percent, while the load factor in the European traffic was only 47.3 percent.
Sector by sector, the growth in volumes was 16.8 percent in Europe, 25.4 percent in the Americas, 19.2 in Aria/Pacific, and 16.4 percent in Africa/M East.
