Apr 20, 2011 (newstodate): EU has published its 17. edition of its list of airlines banned in the European Union.
One positive news is the lifting of the earlier ban on EU operations by the Ukrainean privately-owned carrier UM Air based at Kiev.
The EU Commission has found solid evidence to prove that the carrier's performance has improved.
UM Air operates a fleet of one Airbus A320, two DC-9, and three MD-80 aircraft.
Otherwise, the revised list differs only little from the earlier versions.
