Apr 11, 2011 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport may rejoice in signs of spring in its cargo volumes.
After a long period of sustained decrease in volumes, the airport saw the total tonnage handled up by 74.5 percent, y-o-y, to 1,062 tonnes in March 2011.
Totals included 961 tonnes of cargo, up 83.4 percent, and a 17.4 increase in mail volumes, to 101 tonnes.
The 75.5 percent bounce in volumes in April 2011 is, however, to be compared to the almost identical drop by 70.4 percent in volumes in April 2010, indicating that in March 2011 volumes were at least back to square one again.
