Apr 06, 2011 (newstodate): Launching flights from Doha, in the Emirates, to Budapest, in Hungary, only on January 17, 2011, Qatar Airways has already decided to up frequency from four weekly to daily flights.
The increase in flights will take place from September 14, 2011, and from the same date the route will be split from Bucharest, Romania, that is today served en-route.
Qatar Airways is now operating the route with an Airbus A320 aircraft, and it remains to be seen if it will introduce larger aircraft, like the Airbus A330 from the autumn.
From September 14, 2011, Qatar will also start services to Sofia, Bulgaria, as an extension of the route to Bucharest, Romania, that will continue the four times weekly schedule as of now.
