Apr 13, 2011 (newstodate): Gulf Air, based at Bahrain, is planning to open flights on a new route to Denmark.
The carrier will launch flights around July 1, 2011, and the airline will operate four weekly rotations with Boeing 737-700 aircraft on the route from Bahrain.
Gulf Air will then become the third Gulf region carrier to operate flights to Copenhagen Airport, with Qatar Airways offering flights from Doha since March 30, 2010, and Emirates to launch services from Dubai from August 1, 2011.
Besides, the Scandinavian carrier SAS has also operates seasonal flights between Copenhagen and Dubai during the winter season, but has now announced that it will not operate the route after the increased competition in this segment.
