Apr 14, 2011 (newstodate): Danish provider of logistics and airfreight road feeder services, Haugsted is now fully up and running at its new base at Worldwide Flight Services' terminal at Copenhagen Airport.
-We moved from our earlier off-airport premises on March 23 and were fully in place from March 24, 2011, says Peter Nygaard, Haugsted operations manager.
-The physical warehouse handling is now provided by WFS staff while we are focusing on managing and operating our extensive road feeder network generating some 70-90 weekly north-going trucks, in addition to about 50 weekly incoming trucks from the south as well as some 60 weekly incoming trucks from the north.
-We are now seeing import volumes building up again after a slack period, probably impacted by the holidays around the Chinese New Year. On the other hand, export volumes continue to rise, but is is of course still too early to make predictions about the longer-term prospects for 2011, says Mr Nygaard.
