Apr 19,2011 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI provider Jet Time is prepared for a busy summer season with new aircraft in the fleet.
During the season, Jet Time will command a fleet of nine aircraft including the six Boeing 737-300 now in service, together with one Boeing 737-700 already delivered and a second Boeing 737-700 to arrive by the end of this month - with both new aircraft on three-year lease contracts.
The ninth aircraft will be the carrier's seventh Boeing 737-300, slated for delivery also in time for the busy season. But at this stage papers have still not been inked, and a delivery date has not yet been announced.
From June to September, 2011, Jet Time will operate a total of four weekly flights between Copenhagen Airport and Greenland, with two flights to Narsarsuaq and to Kangerlussuaq, respectively, to support Air Greenland's own Airbus A330 flights between Copenhagen and Kangerlussuaq during the summer peak.
As earlier announced, the Danish tour operator Star Tour has also contracted Jet Time to fly more than 100,000 passengers to leisure destinations, replacing earlier contracts with SAS.
Besides other ACMI contracts, Jet Time will provide seasonal capacity to other carriers, including Norwegian and Blue1, during this spring.
