Apr 27, 2011 (newstodate): Poland's Warsaw Chopin Airport improved its cargo performance in the first quarter of this year.
A total of 10,654 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport, an increase by 23.2 percent, y-o-y.
The growth was especially driven by international cargo, up 23.5 percent, to 10,495 tonnes, while domestic cargo also grew by 11.4 percent, to a total of 160 tonnes.
In terms of cargo volumes carried, the most important carriers were LOT , UPS Airlines, European Air Transport, Sprint Air and Air Contractors, with Cologne, Leipzig, Chicago, Seoul and Shanghai topping the list of most important destinations.
