Apr 29, 2011 (newstodate): The Belarus carrier Belavia has added a new Boeing 737 aircraft to its fleet, delivered on an operating lease agreement.
The Boeing 737-300 is the fourth of its type with Belavia that also operates six Boeing 737-500, four CRJ-100/200, and four Tu-154M.
The latest delivery will be allocated primarily to charter operations, and Belavia is pursuing a strategy of building up its aircraft fleet further to compete more efficiently against foreign airlines that are taking an increasing share of the Belarus aviation market.
