Apr 11, 2011 (newstodate): The merger into a single business unit of British Airways and Iberia including the two airlines' cargo operations will not effect the current sales set-up in the markets.
Little is known about the plans by the new holding company International Airlines Group announced last week, but according to sources in the market, the two airline's cargo GSSAs have not been informed of any changes to existing contracts, indicating that it will be "business as usual" in the GSA markets.
In the Nordic region, British Airways World Cargo is represented by Airline Services GSA in Finland, Norway and Sweden, and by its associate Cargo Care in the Danish market.
Iberia Cargo is represented by the GSA services provider North Air Logistics in all four Nordic markets.
